Fish Tank Stand Designs | Stands : Bookshelf Aquarium Stand & Canopy Plans
I love aquariums! They are beautiful and relaxing. The bookshelf is pretty cool, as well as the table and the bed. I am not to sure about the toilet. That is a little creepy!
I’ve seen the table, sink and bookshelf at friends’ homes. Seriously beautiful but seriously hard to clean too! The mantelpiece is my favourite. Reminds me of my trip to the aquarium. Mesmerizing… And a great conversation piece!
50 Gallon Built in Bookshelf - Freshwater & Saltwater Aquarium Forum
Aquarium stand in a study (YES). Place rack between 2 bookshelves.
Three and a half weeks ago, I decommissioned my that was sitting on a wire shelf and began preparing to setup the new 12G bookshelf tank. Since rimless aquariums generally need more support than traditional designs, I built a small platform out of 2x4s and plywood to for the aquarium to rest on. For padding and aesthetics, I cut down a green yoga mat and laid it over the platform. Now that I didn’t have to worry about the wire-rack bowing and causing a leak in my new aquarium, I set out aquascaping it.I just got one of those 6.6 gallon bookshelf aquariums from Petco, for my girlfriend. It's a great looking tank, and I can't wait to set it up, but I'm not too sure about the HOB that came with it. Does anyone have any experience with these things? They cool, but the filter compartment looks hokey, as does the actual carbon cartridge. I'm thinking of shoving some floss in there, but I don't know, we might just go buy an aquaclear. Here is an image of the living room after I had remodeled the living room. Notice the bookshelf that I embedded in the wall. I am planning to relace this with a bookshelf that will swing open like a door to allow access to the back of the aquarium. This will be the only access into the aquarium. For those that want to know I changed out the filter that came with this PetCO bookshelf aquarium to an Aquaclear 20. Light and hood came with the kit and I sprayed the back black with krylon fusion. Substrate is fine crushed coral, 60 turbo shells 1-2 inches in diameter, and 3 rocks. In addition to revamping her bedroom aquarium, the guys also upgraded Erika's study by building her a bookshelf aquarium built for an octopus. And, she was more than pleased with the results. "I'm so excited. This is so great," she told the aquarium experts, who then revealed more details about her new pal, a Hawaiian day octopus, who will grow up to three feet in size. There are two major risks with this build. The first and most catastrophic scenario would be failure of the bookshelf. I consider this low probability, but it would be extremely costly which does make me nervous. Although aquariums are typically too heavy for standard furniture, six gallons is small and a full 30" shelf of books has roughly the same weight. This setup will fully load only three of the five shelves, so the bookshelf should actually be supporting less weight than it otherwise would.
