UPDATE: Rusty successfully moved to a friend’s larger tank, and we replaced him with a baby sucker fish, named Rusty, Jr., who is very cute. :)
The researchers also found that remora larvae have distinctive hooked teeth protruding from the lower jaw. Johnson says that may be a clue to how the baby fish hitchhike before they grow their suckers.
Actually, keeping the tank water clean is probably the biggest challengein raising fish. The growing fish require lots of food, and they are notvery good at finding it which means even more must be added to the tank. As in any fishtank, adding lots of food must be balanced with keeping thewater quality extremely high. In fact, fry require cleaner water thanadult fish. Frequent water changes are a must, as is efficient biologicalfiltration. Baby tanks often require daily water changes of up to halfthe tank. Sponge filters are the preferred method of filtration becausethey are great biological filters but cannot suck up baby fish.

You sit there for about 15 minutes while these tiny fish eat all the dead skin off your feet. Needless to say, it was quite an experience! It was tough for me to sit there for the full 15 minutes because it tickled and just felt super weird! But we made it and afterwards, our feet were smooth as a baby's skin! The tank was set up 2 days ago with clean water new gravel and now I’m seeing clear/ white worms that range from centimeter long to about 3 inches and are rapidly producing. What might they be and how can I get rid of them? The longest one I’ve seen is about 3 inches and has attached itself to my baby suckerfish.
