How To Paint The Background Of Your Fish Tank Black | My Aquarium Club.
Painted – The cheapest and one of the simplest ways to create aquarium backgrounds is to paint them yourself. This option is very popular with people who like plain backgrounds for their fish tanks as it’s inexpensive and quite easy to do. The most commonly used colors are darker colors such as black, dark blue and dark green, however this depends on the types of decorations and the colors of the fish in your tank, so experiment with different colors and choose one that you think will look best.
Answer: There are several options for a background on your tank, and what you choose depends on the look you are going for, painting the back of the tank a solid color such as black or blue will allow the fish to be the focal point of the tank, there are also the premade backgrounds that can be purchased at your local fish store, these can add a natural look to the tank, with pictures of rocks and plants. These come in self adhesive and non self adhesive, if you get the non stick kind a spray adhesive works great to attach it to the tank.

I have just added a black background to the tank to help the fish stand out. It also works really well against the greenery of the plants. Very little expense for the background but a great impact on the overall look of the tank. Please let me know what you think! :)
