Which freshwater fish are compatible with PARROT FISH?
Any other fish that you recommend that would go well with Blood Parrot(s), a Senegal bichir, and a school of Pictus catfish? (if they are compatible of course)
I am not sure who can actually be compatible with the paradise fish. I had other gouramis with them, with no signs of aggression, but there must have been some going on, as the paradise are now by themselves!
there are alot of compatible fish that go with parrots. the problem is that all cichlids have their own personalities. it depends on how aggressive your parrot is and what others you would like to try. i could give some suggestions but, it would be alot easier if you named the fish that you are interested in. fish that have worked for me are small to medium sized new world cichlids, and fast, non aggresive fish, i have a school of black skirt tetras in with my biggest parrot and he is pretty aggressive. he can't catch them. tank size is a big part of what will work. if you have a 29, you should keep your parrot as a single. if you have 40 or more then you have something to work with. if you have 29 or less gallons, that tank is the parrots and no other fish is going to work out. like jack dempseys, they get a bad rap for being really aggressive. but they are sold at petsmart with a 29 gallon requirement. that whole tank would be his territory so if you tried to add any fish he would kill it. in a 55, you have a completely different fish. he picks about a cubic foot as his territory and doesn't really even defend it as much. my dempseys get chased all over my 100 gallon tank by a fish that can't even bite them.

what type of fish are compatible with parrots
BR Parrots are compatible with many fish such as mid size , Giant Danios, or any catfish, , , Severums and . Convicts are a good choice as well, but be careful of any aggressive issues and the possiblity of a spawn between these two species.Blood parrots can tolerate the slightly different water parameters African cichlids require. Specifically African river cichlids do well with blood parrots. As long as the African cichlids are roughly the same size and aggression level as the blood parrots the fish should be compatible. Kribensis (Pelvicachromis pulcher), among the most popular west African cichlids, exemplify African cichlids that have proved to be good tank mates for blood parrots.Adult Parrot fish can reach 10 inches. Most males though will average 7-8 inches and females a bit smaller averaging around 6-7 inches. You should make sure they have ample swimming areas with clay pots or caves. Rocks and driftwood would complete a comfortable tank set up as they love to have places to hide. Water temperature should be maintained between 76-80°F. PH should be around 6.5-7.4. A smooth small sized gravel or sand is ideal. They are a hardy, undemanding fish that only require room to swim, compatible tank mates and good healthy foods in order to be happy. With the heavy bio load of Parrots, it is essential that you have good .Then these are the fish species I am interested/plus the number I planned on getting (not ALL the species though of course), could you please give me your opinion as to the compatibility with senegals and blood parrots? (I am so sorry if this has been asked before, please just direct me to the link if that’s the case, I don’t want to waste your time)
