One day!! Dog face puffer fish. SO cool. I would love to have a salt water tank. We had a brackish water tank with weird fish for a long time.
Tuna is high in mercury compared with many other fish. That's why you should feed it to your dog only as an occasional treat. Tuna steak contains more mercury than canned tuna; canned white albacore has more mercury than chunked light or white canned tuna. Canned tuna is high in sodium, another reason your dog should eat it only occasionally. Too much salt causes pancreatitis, and dogs that are thirsty from salty food may gulp water, which can lead to stomach bloat and twisting, a condition that's fatal without immediate surgery.
When the idea to start Mud Dog Saltwater Flies was being developed, I decided to go with flies that I fish myself and to stay with what I know works. All the flies my company produces have worked for me or for those fortunate souls who have the opportunity to frequent other waters. I've put together "packages" within our price list that group together flies that cover Northeast and Southeast fisheries.

Dogfish founder Sam Calagione’s latest endeavor is a new Delaware seafood spot, , that is already serving two offbeat items: oysters raised in smoked sea salt-infused water (which gives them a natural smokiness), and a beer that’s a kolsch, gose, and Berliner weisse hybrid. The dogface puffer has a number of specific water conditions. It requires water with pH between 8.1 and 8.4. The specific gravity needs to be between 1.019 and 1.025. As a tropical species, the dogface puffer needs water with a temperature of 74 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. The dogface puffer shares these requirements with many tropical saltwater fish. Additionally, the dogfish requires very clean water, so aquarium maintenance needs to be performed religiously. The Dogfish oyster, dubbed ‘Smoke in the Water,’ was developed by Calagione and Hooper’s Island Oyster Company. Calagione originally wanted to raise oysters in hop-infused water, but after learning that oysters weren’t too keen on hops tea, the brewer experimented with watery beds infused with culinary smoked salt.I'd like to add a little update to those of you who are infuriated from this video! My family and I were on vacation: my brother and sister kept catching Dogfish Sharks in the bay (not by choice) THIS SHARK, NOR WERE ANY OF THE OTHERS HARMED. The "baby pool" was filled with salt water straight from the bay, added with seaweed. After this video was taken, the Dogfish Shark was put right back into the bay.Dog River is a brackish river - a mixture of fresh and saltwater. Also known to be a shallow river with the average depth at around 9–12 feet deep with some areas along the wetlands being only 1–2 feet at mid-tide. There are both fresh and salt water fish species including bass, bream, mullet, redfish, croakers, speckled trout and flounder. Most land connected to the river is privately owned however there are several parks and public boat launch areas. Boaters can refuel at the marinas located at the river's mouth.Being a commercial fly tier, people often think that my fly box holds a plethora of flies in all conceivable patterns and colors. It doesn't. I carry a few "oddballs" with me for that "just-in-case" situation (that has yet to develop), but for the most part, I use a handful of patterns from Mud Dog Saltwater Flies when fishing in the Northeast. These are:
